he restaurant features a huge medieval fireplace, which, like the hotel, is listed by English Heritage. Originally built as an inn in 1451, the restaurant today enjoys an excellent reputation for its cuisine and warm personality.

Every evening we feature our traditional spit roast, where a large variety of different meats are roasted in the medieval (15th Century) fireplace in the restaurant. We also offer an extensive table d' hote menu, with dishes produced using locally sourced products where possible.
